Taylor Swift - Debut Album

This candle was actually the last one I created, and exudes a scrapbook-style aesthetic, with torn pieces of paper, taped Polaroids, and handwriting to complete the look. I used the album's lyric booklet as inspiration, as it contains many personal photos of Taylor and the same scrapbook style I was trying to achieve.

Fearless

I tried to keep this candle minimal and bright, focusing on the soft, early-morning, cream colors that encompass the album's overall theme. I even used the picture of Taylor featured on the album cover as the paper inlay that comes with the candle.

Speak Now

The album cover for "Speak Now" features elegant themes that I tried to encompass here. The watercolor textures are a nod to the album's cover, which features Swift in a flowing dress that appears to fade into watercolors. In terms of typography, I really loved working with fonts such as Sudestada to bring the elegance of the design to a new level.

Red

My personal favorite album of Taylor's, Red features a vintage yet modern design direction. I loved the photoshoot that accompanied the album, so I made an effort to use the photos in my design. I drew heavy inspiration from the album booklet itself, especially in terms of typographic layout.

1989

This was the very first candle I created. I really enjoyed working with a minimal design and basic sans-serif fonts. Once I had completed this candle, I knew that I wanted to continue and do the other six albums as well.

Reputation

Out of all seven candles, this one came to me the easiest. I drew inspiration from the newspaper-like print that was featured on the album cover, as well as the repetitive typography with the word "rep" that had been featured on a portion of Taylor's corresponding merchandise for the album. The wax seal on the top was actually taken from the magazines released along with the album.

Lover

A complete 180 from the aesthetic of the "reputation" candle comes with the "Lover" candle. The color scheme reflects the soft and ethereal design of the album cover. Additionally, the bottom of the candle box features the names of the songs featured on the album.

I do hope that you enjoyed my work! I had a lot of fun working on these designs and I am excited to make more as Taylor releases new music!
